Motorists face Petrol Price Hike due to Tax Wholesale prices

Motorists will be paying five pence a litre more for petrol within weeks because of soaring wholesale oil prices and a tax rise due on September 1.

The government is coming under pressure on this issue as the return of VAT at th end of the year threatens to add another 2p a litre.
